Southport Market is gearing up for a bumper summer by opening six days a week throughout the holiday period.

Starting from Tuesday (July 26th), the hugely popular food and drink hall – which celebrated its first birthday yesterday – will open Tuesday to Sunday for the next six weeks as families enjoy the Summer holidays.

Doors to the King Street based Southport Market will open from 10am each day, with extended opening hours on Fridays and Saturdays.

As well as a worldwide culinary smorgasbord of tasty treats and thirst quenching drinks, there will be live entertainment every Thursday, and fun-filled events for all the family.

A Southport Market spokesperson said: “We know this news will be hugely welcomed by families and visitors to the market.

“Recently we turned one year old and in the first 12 months alone sold nearly 280,000 dishes representing showcasing cuisines from around the world.

“Since opening in July 2021 following a huge refurbishment, the new-look Southport Market on King Street has revitalised the town’s Market Quarter.

“This has resulted in new business opportunities and investment to the surrounding area.”

Southport Market’s Summer opening hours are as follows:

Mon: CLOSED

Tues: 10am-10pm

Weds: 10am-10pm

Thurs: 10am-10pm

Fri: 10am-11pm

Sat: 10am-11pm
