He launched Stand Up For Southport alongside Phil Gee, providing media, PR, social media and marketing services to firms and organisations including Southport Business Improvement District (Southport BID) and Southport Market.

He also founded Andrew Brown Media, working as a freelance writer for titles including Local Life, Chat magazine, Lancashire Post, Daily Star and Daily Mirror.

He was an online, print and social media editor for Reach plc for several years, editing titles including the Southport Visiter, Midweek Visiter, Formby Times, Crosby Herald, Bootle Times, Ormskirk Advertiser and Skelmersdale Advertiser. During that time the Southport Visiter website was the fastest-growing news website in the UK and was twice runner-up in the 02 North West Media Awards.

PHIL GEE GOLDBERG

Phil is a proud Southport resident. His mother’s family has been residing here for many decades.

He has been a business owner in the town for 12 years, running a digital marketing agency.

We represent many of our town’s independent businesses on social media, helping to raise awareness to their brand, whilst creating content and responding to all the inbound inquiries.

He also coaches and mentors many CEOs, directors, managers and employees in Southport and across the Liverpool city region on how to correctly use social media for their business, on a one-to-one basis, whilst also working in partnership with the local tourism department, Southport BID and various other organisations, delivering marketing workshops and training programmes.

He is very passionate about Stand Up For Southport which he says was borne out of the frustration of having to read constant negative drivel about this town and feeling that he wanted to enable other residents to shout out and be proud of where we all live.
