InvestSefton is inviting people to enjoy a Networking Group event for those in the borough’s Financial and Professional Sector.
The theme will be ‘Sustainable Finance – Navigating the Green Transition’ with guest speakers Rob Capleton from the University of Liverpool and Martin Thornton from Carbon Happy World.
It takes place at The Lake House, Crosby Coastal Park, Cambridge Road, Waterloo L22 1RR between 8am and 10am on Wednesday, 16th October 2024.
The Liverpool City Region, including Sefton, is currently leading the charge on climate action having just been named the world’s first Accelerator City for climate action, under a UN Climate Change programme.
A spokesperson said: “InvestSefton would like to invite you to the next meeting of the Financial & Professional Networking Group. Join us for an informative and inspiring event on the changing landscape of sustainable finance.”
The guest speakers will be:
- Rob Capleton, University of Liverpool
Rob will talk about why strategic sustainable planning should be an essential part of your business. He will talk through the opportunities that can be created through sustainable practice and what the Liverpool City Region are doing to support your path to Net Zero.
- Martin Thornton, Carbon Happy World
Martin will be talking about sustainability including how to embrace it and any barriers. He will also talk about carbon accounting, how to reduce the carbon footprint of your business and understanding ESG regulations and compliance.
