Over 60 members from Southport Strollers were among hundreds of runners who completed the 11th Southport Mad Dog 10k run on Sunday!

They included lots of first time 10k runners as well as regular runners.

The club believes in supporting and encouraging members to help them achieve their running goals, and welcome new members.

A Southport Strollers spokesperson said: “Huge congratulations to over 60 of our members taking part in the fantastic Mad Dog 10k on Sunday morning!

“Lots of first time 10krs and lots of seasoned pros all enjoying their runs and supporting each other in this special local race!

“Huge well done to everyone who ran, well done to the volunteers who helped make it happen and thank you to everyone not running who joined cheer squads taping the course!

“Proud to be part of such a supportive running community and just brilliant to have this race on our doorstep.”

Southport Strollers holds regular sessions each week, with Tuesday and Thursday social running groups 4K, 5K & 7K, and Monday Intervals.

Membership is £15 for the year and that covers all sessions.
