The new Queenscourt Hospice charity shop is opening in Ainsdale Village in Southport this week.
The new venture will open at 84 Station Road, Ainsdale, Southport, PR8 3HW, in the site previously occupied by Smiths TV.
It will open at 9.30am this Friday (19th June 2026).
It will add to existing Queenscourt shops on Chapel Street Southport town centre; Cambridge Road in Churchtown; Bispham Road in High Park; Brows Lane in Formby; Church Road in Tarleton; and Liverpool Road North in Burscough.
A Queenscourt Hospice spokesperson said: “You’re Invited to Our Grand Opening!
“We’re delighted to announce the opening of our brand-new Queenscourt Charity Shop in Ainsdale Village on Friday 19th June 2026, and we’d love for you to join us for this special celebration!
“As we move through 2026, Queenscourt Hospice is facing the most significant financial challenge in our history.
“Every purchase, donation, and visit to our charity shops helps us to continue providing exceptional compassionate care and support for our patients and their families, across West Lancashire, Southport and Formby.
“We’re excited to welcome special guests and local social media influencers as we officially open our doors!

In April, Queenscourt Hospice announced that it will be reducing its in-patient ward from ten to five beds, as it continues to face financial uncertainty.
The news comes just four weeks after the hospice stated that it was being forced to consider reducing the vital services it provides for patients, as it continues to operate with a £2 million deficit.
Queenscourt Hospice has been providing compassionate care for the people of West Lancashire, Formby and Southport for the past 35 years.They care for patients with serious illnesses, enabling them to achieve the best possible quality of life at each new stage.
Queenscourt cares for patients both in the hospice and at home through their In-Patient Unit, Queenscourt Connect and Queenscourt at Home services. Queenscourt requires over 100 professional staff members to stay open, including Doctors, Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Physiotherapists and many other roles.
