Mabon is the Autumn Equinox festival in modern Pagan and Wiccan traditions.
It honours balance, harvest, gratitude and reflection, marking a moment when day and night are equal and the Earth begins its transition inward.

It is a time to appreciate the gifts of the Earth, celebrate personal growth, release what no longer serves us, and find harmony between peace and darkness.
Sue Jones said: “Mabon is coming this Sunday. If anyone is interested, please let me know, our places fill up quickly!
“This will be a beautiful evening of poetry, music, gentle yin yoga, all on the floor followed by a sublime Yoga Nidra.
“Yoga nidra, or ‘yogic sleep’ is a guided meditation practice done lying down that induces a deep state of conscious rest between wakefulness and sleep.
“The core benefits include:
“Stress and Anxiety Reduction: It switches off the body’s fight-or-flight response (sympathetic nervous system) and turns on the calming response to lower cortisol.
“Improved Sleep: It helps quiet racing thoughts, allows access to restorative delta brainwave states while awake, and helps you fall asleep faster. It acts like a mental reset, boosting cognitive performance, alertness, and deep rest similar to Non-Sleep Deep Rest.
“Physical and Emotional Healing: Clinical studies link regular practice to reduced blood pressure, stabilized blood sugar, reduced inflammation, and help with releasing long-held emotional stress.”
