Primark in Southport is in line for a revamp as part of a £100 million transformation being carried out by the chain.
The store, at 1 Chapel Street in Southport town centre, is among 15 stores across the UK being given a fresh new look.
Primark is also opening three new stores in Bury St. Edmunds, Teesside Park, and Glasgow Fort.
The firm is making some of its existing spots, such as the Westfield Stratford in London, even bigger.
Thanks to the huge investment, Primark’ is aiming to operate 195 shops across the country creating 700 new jobs.
Primark stores in Southport and Birkenhead are the two sites in Merseyside being refurbished.
Primark UK Retail Director Kari Rodgers said:
“We’ve changed a lot in the 50 years since we opened the doors on our first store in Great Britain in Derby back in 1974, but at our heart, we are still the same.
“We’re as committed as ever to offering the very best value on the high street and making great fashion more affordable and accessible for everyone.
“This latest investment will mean bigger and better stores, hundreds of new jobs across the country and shows our ongoing commitment to the UK high street.”
