People are being invited to send cards or letters to a Southport piano teacher and well-known member of the local community to celebrate her forthcoming 100th birthday.
Julia Mellalieu is looking forward to her big day in a few days’ time and her son would love to welcome any messages from anyone eager to make it a really memorable day.
David Mellalieu, said: “This is my Mum, Julia Mellalieu who currently resides at Elm House Nursing Home, at 43 Cambridge Road, Southport, PR9 9PR.

“She lived in Ainsdale between 1962 and 2020.
“Mum taught Piano to many local children and was a very active member of the community. “She was married in St John’s Church in Ainsdale and had her wedding reception in the Sands Hotel in Ainsdale, in its heyday.
“In later years, Mum and Dad became enthusiastic participants in Methodist Church activities.

“On Thursday (7th November 2024), Mum will be celebrating her 100th birthday.
“Mum has excellent recall and I’m sure would welcome any cards or letters which she is able to read independently.
“Or, if anyone would like to send a What’s App or FB message, they are welcome to do so via myself. Please message me for details.
“Thank you, David.”
