By David Walshe

A 14 year old boy from Marshside in Southport raised the heat at a darts themed testimonial dinner for Southport FC manager, Liam Watson.

The event which was held at the Bliss Hotel on Friday (3rd February) required each table of guests to have one darts player amongst them.

Young Marshsider Jack, who plays under the name of Jack ‘The Heat’ Peet, at just 14 years old was invited to play darts in the tournament.

The format included four matches against players from other tables, the winning players eventually arriving at the final to face the former Welsh and World Champion, the Mighty Mark Webster.

Young Jack saw off his first four opponents, shooting a nice 180 along the way! As the final got underway it was a close game, but with the 200 strong crowd at the venue getting right behind the local boy, Jack managed to beat Webster with a two dart 60 finish.

Jack, who has only been playing the game for 18 months was thrilled to bits by his victory. He currently plays darts in the Southport adults league for the Glasshouse Wanderers, and also plays Super league darts for Southport in the Lancashire region, and from the age of 13, he has played for Merseyside county youth team at under 18 level.

His team are on the lookout for support and are reaching out to any local businesses who would be so kind or willing to sponsor him.

Jack would like to thank Mark Dilley from Elite Marquees for the invitation, his table on the night and all the support he received at the event.

I’m impressed, I need to say. Actually hardly ever do I encounter a blog that’s both educative and entertaining, and let me tell you, you’ve got hit the nail on the head. Your concept is outstanding; the issue is something that not sufficient individuals are talking intelligently about. I am very pleased that I stumbled throughout this in my search for one thing relating to this.

  5. The next time I read a weblog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as much as this one. I imply, I know it was my choice to read, but I truly thought youd have something fascinating to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about one thing that you could repair in the event you werent too busy in search of attention.
