The Biggest Charity Christmas Parade in the North West is returning to Southport, on a bumper festive weekend for the town.
The event will take place on Sunday, 1st December 2024 and will be accepting toy donations to support children in need this Christmas.
It will leave Warren farm in Formby at 4pm before heading along Liverpool Road through Ainsdale, then onto Waterloo Road, Lulworth Road onto Lord Street, onto Leicester Street ending with a Promenade Extravaganza in Southport town centre.
People are invited to enjoy the spectacle and cheer on the annual parade.
It takes place on the same day as the annual Southport Santa Sprint for Queenscourt Hospice, the festive Brass Band Concert at Botanic Gardens in Churchtown, and the Birkdale Village Christmas Fayre.
Event organiser Adam Holmes-Brown said: “The Biggest Charity Christmas Parade in the North West is back for 2024!
“Many viewing spots will be available.
“The parade is leaving Warren Farm at 4pm and heading along Liverpool Road through Ainsdale, then onto Waterloo Road, Lulworth Road onto Lord Street, onto Leicester Street ending with a Promenade Extravaganza.
“We have a whole list of extraordinary vehicles taking part, floats, Santa on his sleigh, elves and much more,
“We have some very special celebrity appearances so look out for them.
“And we all know what day it is, it’s the return of Elf On The Shelf. He will be there!
“We are doing this to keep our community together spreading Christmas cheer, and showing we are strong together.
“We are raising toy donations for those in need.
“Come along and cheer us on,
“Be warned this a very loud parade, and lots of flashing lights
“We look forward to seeing you all.”
