Once again, an InvestSefton event has been a success with over 120 Sefton business representatives attending.
Held at Formby Hall Golf Resort & Spa on Thursday, 15th June, InvestSefton’s Summer Economic Forum featured updates on the outlook for the North West’s economy, the support available to businesses from Innovate UK Edge, and infrastructure developments in Sefton.
In addition to Sefton Council’s Assistant Director of Economic Growth and Housing Stuart Barnes, speakers at the event were economist Christian Spence Senior Economist and Michael Hadfield and Gordon McDonough, Growth Specialists at Innovate UK Edge.
Cara Leach, Commercial Manager at Marine FC chaired the event.
Like all InvestSefton events, the Summer Economic Forum was relaxed and informal and an opportunity to network. After the Forum, delegates had a chance to browse the Growth Hub Marketplace’s with over 20 providers in attendance including skills development, digital marketing, access to finance and more.
Cllr Marion Atkinson, Cabinet Member for Skills and Regeneration said:
“I would like to thank our InvestSefton team for organising another great chance for local; businesses to come together.
“InvestSefton’s Economic Forums are fantastic events, which is reflected in the high numbers who come along regularly.
“Attendance by over 120 of local businesses reflects the quality of the speakers and the variety provided in the marketplace.
“I urge any Sefton businesses to sign up to InvestSefton mailing list to ensure they find out about the next Economic Forum and other InvestSefton events.”
