A Southport takeaway has winged its way to being recognised as one of the best in the North West!
Just Wings UK, situated on Cable Street in Southport town centre, has been honoured as a Finalist in this year’s North West category of the British Takeaway Awards.
The independently-owned company, a popular sight at events including the annual Southport Food & Drink Festival, also has outlets in St Helens, Crosby, and Aigburth in Liverpool.
Owners Gareth Johnson and Neil Townley are passionate about good food which is freshly cooked to order while providing service with a smile.
They said: “We are a small family run business which specialises in chicken wings with 17 different flavours. We don’t just do wings though, we do burgers, wraps, sides, shakes and fries. “We pride ourselves on delivering a high end takeaway which is freshly cooked to order. We hand-coat the wings in the flavour of your choice and we have a range of flavours from mild to spicy.
“When we were nominated for the awards it was a dream to get through to our final, but our customers voted for us and here we are. We couldn’t have made it without their loyalty.
“For a family-run business this means so much to not only us, but also to our staff who have worked so hard throughout the Covid lockdowns over the past year.”
