A dog who was abandoned four years ago is celebrating her first Christmas with her new owners.

Bailey was discarded due to changed family circumstances and spent many months in the care of Freshfields Animal Rescue Centre.

Now she is helping to launch the campaign “Freshfields Animal Rescue – No Animal Left Behind this Christmas’, where kind-hearted supporters will see their donations DOUBLED.

But people have to be quick – the opportunity to double donations only runs from today (1 December) until 8 December.

Helen Stanbury, Director of Freshfields, said:“This Christmas, animals in desperate need are still being abused, abandoned and neglected. Their needs have sadly gone off the radar for many people, and we are wholly dependent on a renewed community effort to ensure no vulnerable animals are left behind.

“Together, we can be there to provide for the poor souls who arrive at our doorstep this Christmas. It’s the best gift we can give to animals like Bailey (pictured), left behind by family circumstances four years ago.

“Thanks to our amazing compassionate and caring local community, Bailey is excited to be spending her first Christmas snuggled by the fireside with her new owners.

“It means a lot to us that so many people choose to give to Freshfields at Christmas.

“This year, we’ve joined forces with The Big Give Christmas Challenge which provides an excellent opportunity to make valuable donations go even further.

So how does it work?

From Tuesday December 1st at noon until Tuesday December 8th, our supporters can double their donations if they give to Freshfields via the specific Big Give Christmas Challenge link.

The link for the donation is:

https://donate.thebiggive.org.uk/campaign/a051r00001exqjIAAQ

Or go to https://donate.thebiggive.org.uk/christmas-challenge-2020 and type in No Animal Left Behind Freshfields into the ‘Find a Charity’ search box.

Our local community has helped us to be there for animals in their hour of need for over 40 years. Together, we can make sure there is No Animal Left Behind this Christmas.

One donation. Twice the Impact.

Please donate if you can. Every single pound makes a difference.

Thank you on behalf of the animals whose lives you’ll transform this Christmas”.
