Visitors to Southport Pleasureland will be able to enjoy unlimited rides when the park reopens this July.

The popular family attraction, on Marine Drive in Southport, will reopen its doors on Saturday, 11 July, after four months closed to the coronavirus lockdown – but with a very different way of operating to keep people safe.

Owner Norman Wallis was due to open the park for the 2020 season back in March just before the coronavirus outbreak began, but decided to keep it closed for safety reasons as cases across the UK began to rise.

New ways of accessing the park have now been revealed, which will see two sessions available every day – each with limited spaces so that organisers can limit capacity and can ensure a safe and fun visit for everyone.

Sessions cost £19.50 each (weekdays) and £24.50 (weekends) for individuals over 90cm.

Children under 90cm go free, but people do need to include them in their online booking to help staff safely control capacity in the park.

The first time visitors shop with Southport Pleasureland they can create an account at checkout, making it quick and easy the next time they come back to buy again.

Over the past few weeks, staff have been busy implementing a number of safety measures.

A spokesman said: “Bringing back the happy! Southport Pleasureland is delighted to announce that we will be reopening the park on Saturday 11th July!

“The safety and wellbeing of our guests and staff is always our top priority and on our website you will find details of the enhanced measures we are putting in place.
