The famous Pontins bluecoats held loads of fun competitions for families at the holiday park over the years.
Sadly those days in Southport are no more, after owners Britannia hotels closed the site for good on 3rd January 2024.
But many memories remain – and pictures!

These two images are from Pontins in Ainsdale in September 1980.
They show two fantastic and very creative first place winners! One shows a flower – the next shows a girl in a wheelchair with what looks like a broken leg, looking like an Arabian princess.
