Southport Hesketh Round Table would like to send out a huge thank you to everyone who attended their recent Beer on the Pier charity event.
It was a fantastic day filled with laughter, music, and community spirit – and thanks to your generosity, we raised vital funds for local charities and community projects.
A special shoutout goes to Serena Silcock-Prince and the incredible team at Silcock Leisure Group for their support in making the event such a success. We couldn’t have done it without you!
Pudsey Bear Is Coming to Southport – But We Need Your Help!
It’s that time of year again – BBC1’s Children In Need is just around the corner, and Pudsey Bear is waking from hibernation to spread joy across Southport!
On Friday 14th November 2025, Pudsey will be visiting schools, nurseries, colleges, playgroups, activity centres and local businesses to raise money and smiles for Children In Need. Last year, we broke records with the number of visits and donations – and this year, we may go even bigger!
We’ve already contacted many schools in the area, but responses have been slow. So here’s our call to action:
If your school or business would like a visit from our 6-foot Pudsey Bear, please get in touch before 1st November 2025.

We’ll do our best to fit in as many visits as teddy-bearly possible, spending 10–15 minutes at each location to spread joy and collect donations.

What’s Next? Santa’s Coming to Town…
Once Pudsey has done his rounds, it’s full steam ahead for the Southport Santa Float – one of the town’s most beloved festive traditions.
We’ll be releasing the float routes shortly, but in the meantime… Watch this space!
