A Southport butcher’s which has been perfecting its products over six decades in business has been inundated with orders for tasty BBQ packs during the heatwave this week.
Blackhurst Butcher’s has been trading for nearly 60 years and has been based inside Southport Market, on King Street, for the past 45 years.
With Shop Local Week taking place this week, they are one of Southport’s most established independent local businesses.
They are looking forward to being part of the new transformed Southport Market, whose plans were boosted by news of £900,000 Southport Town Deal investment earlier this month.
This week they have been preparing and selling lots of BBQ packs as people in Southport enjoy the sweltering temperatures by either lighting up their BBQ, or cooking inside before eating outdoors.
Blackhurst’s Butchers welcomes customers walking into the market, but also delivers, a very popular option since the Coronavirus pandemic began.
Owner Tony Blackhurst said: “We have been extremely busy, but we still have some delivery slots remaining for this week.
“We do free delivery on orders over £15 within the Southport area.
“This is great weather to try some of our homemade burgers and sausages on the BBQ.
“Our own recipes have been perfected over 57 years in business!
“Please see below some standard BBQ packs or alternatively you can build your own.”
