Curlett Jones Estates opened its doors on Southport’s famous Lord Street for the first time this week with help from Queenie Bee, Queenscourt Hospice’s much-loved mascot.
Southport’s newest local business, which opened during Shop Local Week, is supporting the local community with their property sales, purchases and mortgages.
The company was founded by local property legal eagles who have a wealth of experience in delivering residential conveyancing within some of the largest law firms in the North West. They have over 10 years’ track record in dealing with the legalities of residential sales and purchase transactions, which enables them to uniquely support their clients from start to finish.
Alan Jones, Estates Director at Curlett Jones, said: “Opening our first branch on Lord Street was extremely important to us. In the current climate we have seen other businesses move away from our fantastic Lord Street and therefore we wanted to support our community and high street by launching our new business on Southport’s most iconic street.”
The team has the community at the heart of their business and have entered into a Corporate Partnership with Queenscourt Hospice, a local charity providing compassionate support for the people of West Lancashire, Southport and Formby.
The new partnership will see Curtlett Jones Estates donating a percentage of their sales to Queenscourt for the next two years, in support of the wonderful work that the hospice does in caring for patients with far advanced, progressive and incurable illnesses.
Judith Stewart, Queenscourt’s Fundraising and Lottery Manager, said: “We are delighted to have Curlett Jones Estates on board as a Corporate Partner and we look forward to working with their team over the coming months and years to make this partnership a great success.
“We rely on the support of the local community, including the local business sector, to enable us to keep on delivering our broad range of essential services and care, especially during this very challenging time.
“The Coronavirus pandemic has forced us to take the unprecedented step of permanently closing some of our shops and postponing key fundraising initiatives which has resulted in a significant loss of income. As a small local charity with a big reach, this has hit us hard.
“We are grateful for the support of Curlett Jones. Their generous pledge to donate a percentage of their sales to Queenscourt for the next two years is of great value to us.”
