A proud Sandgrounder, he has always been keen to do all he can to support his local community.

A Queenscourt Hospice spokesperson said:

“A huge thank you to Peter Croome for brightening everyone’s day not once, but twice!

“Last Friday and again today, Peter very kindly popped into Queenscourt Hospice with ice creams for our patients, visitors, volunteers and staff – and with the sunshine making a welcome appearance, they couldn’t have arrived at a better time!

“From everyone at Queenscourt Hospice, thank you, Peter, for your generosity and for helping us all stay cool in the summer sunshine. Your kindness is very much appreciated.”

How to Help

In April, Queenscourt Hospice announced that it will be reducing its in-patient ward from ten to five beds, as it continues to face financial uncertainty.

The news comes just four weeks after the hospice stated that it was being forced to consider reducing the vital services it provides for patients, as it continues to operate with a £2 million deficit.
