Queenscourt Hospice, in Southport, have recently been presented with a cheque for £4,331 by Dickinson Parker Hill Solicitors.

Every November, Mike Prendergast and colleagues at Dickinson Parker Hill Solicitors organise a Charity Will Month to support local good causes. The scheme has been running since 2009 and has raised over £172,000 for local charities.

Last November, the firm raised money for Queenscourt Hospice, North West Air Ambulance Service and Alder Hey Children’s Charity. After seeing over 185 different clients, the firm helped raise the sum of £12,993 in total, with the proceeds split equally between the 3 charities.

Mike Prendergast said,

‘We have been overwhelmed by the levels of support and generosity from our clients across Ormskirk, Southport and across the area. Many of those who came in to see us have their own personal story about how Queenscourt helped their loved ones and provided support at a difficult time. So it has been really good to see the level of support for them locally.”

Commenting on the news, Andrea Parkes from Queenscourt said,

“As a charity the fundraising we receive is massively important to the work we do and we are really grateful for the work that Mike and his colleagues at Dickinson Parker Hill have done to raise this money. The donation will help us to continue to provide our services to everyone in the area.”
