Southport’s Slimming World members have once again proved that losing weight and gaining confidence isn’t the only transformation happening in group!
Throughout January, they took part in a special ‘New Year Amnesty,’ donating chocolates, wines, and toiletries – items they had in surplus or simply didn’t need – to Queenscourt Hospice.
And just look at the impact! Thanks to their generosity, over £1,000 will be raised through raffles and charity shop sales, helping to fund the hospice’s incredible work providing care and support to patients with life-limiting illnesses across Southport, Formby, and West Lancashire.
Jill and Lindsey from Queenscourt Hospice shared their gratitude, saying:
“This donation will make such a difference – it helps us continue to provide specialist palliative care to those who need it most. We’re so grateful to the Southport Slimming World community for their kindness and support.”
Fiona Foulder, Slimming World’s Southport Manager, said:
“Myself and our team of Consultants are bursting with pride!
“Our members have been doing this for years, and together, they’ve raised thousands of pounds for Queenscourt.
“It’s more than just a weight loss group – it’s a community where kindness, generosity, and support shine through every week. This is Slimming World at its very best!”
