People are being invited to support a fundraising event taking place at Playtown in Southport today (Friday, 23rd February 2024).

It’s aiming to raise as much money as possible for Arabella, a four-year-old girl who was recently diagnosed with  Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.

Her dream is to enjoy a visit to a UK safari lodge.

The fundraiser will take place at Playtown, at Ocean Plaza Leisure, between 3.30pm and 6.30pm today with lots of entertainment plus Stitch, Pikachu and Minecraft.character visits.

Playtown owners Louie and Tanya Gaffney said: “There is no need to book – simply turn up between those times to show your support.

“We have a tombola, face painters, glitter tattoos, raffle, cake sale and character visits.

“It’s £5 per child 0-12 years and £2 per adult.

“100% of proceeds will Be donated to Arabella’s family so that they can make memories together.

“Four year old Arabella was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia last July. This beautiful little girl has been through more than anyone can imagine

“One of Arabella’s dreams is to go to a UK Safari Lodge, where she can enjoy some time with her family with the animals and so Playtown is hosting a fundraising event with 100% of proceeds will be donated to this cause.

“Sandgrounder Radio is advertising the event and , and Southport BID are also getting involved.”

Local businesses have been showing their support by donating any prizes (for example gift vouchers, gifts, hampers, sweets etc) for the raffle and tombola, with anyone else who can help invited to get in touch with Playtown.
