The Inclusive Fashion Show Liverpool took place at the Lake House in Waterloo

Organisers have hailed the success of the Inclusive Fashion Show Liverpool.

The show took place on Sunday, 25th February 2024 at the Lake House in Waterloo.

This was the second event in the UK tour, which will see the sell out fashion event travel to cities all over the UK, including London, Birmingham, and Scotland.

It was organised by Debbie-Lyn Connolly Lloyd, who runs the Debbie-Lyn Apparel fashion boutique in Wayfarers Shopping Arcade in Southport, and won the Diversity and Inclusion Award at last year’s Grand Pride Of Sefton Awards.

The event was hosted by In Demand Radio presenter Claire Simmo while VIP guests included Mayor of Sefton, Cllr June Burns, along with actor and film director Peter Sinseeya.

Guests were welcomed with a glass of prosecco and in true VIP style, they were photographed on the red carpet, before enjoying the fashion show and then the after party with a chance to network with industry experts

Local businesses set up stalls in the vibrant market place suite, selling everything from Tropic Love with Catherine, to beautiful silver jewellery by designer Jonah An Lily and handbags, handmade by designer Daisy Amour, and Aesthetics with Kerry Fairbrother.

Designers Lissa MJY Couture, GoGairy Hand Painted Leathers, DL Apparel, Jonah An Lily and Daisy Amour saw their collections come to life on the runway modelled so professionally by a selection of diverse models chosen by inclusivity campaigner Debbie-Lyn.

After winning her Pride of Sefton Award last year, Debbie-Lyn has gone on to create her own inclusive fashion designs, organise The Inclusive Fashion Show UK tour, and found the DL Models & PR team with a focus on developing marginalised models and business owners.

Debbie-Lyn Connolly Lloyd said: “These events are gaining huge press attention across the nation now, and it’s getting increasingly bigger! This is fabulous news for representation in the fashion and beauty industry.”
