“I came to Southport Pleasureland when I was in semi-retirement and was initially working on the car parks.

“One of the lads knew I had worked in engineering. Next thing, the park’s CEO, Norman Wallis, came over and asked if I’d like to do some part-time engineering work during the winter.

“I started off working three days a week; that grew to five days; and now I love working with the team. I really enjoy their company.

“This is a great place to work. Everything is so diverse, there are lots of different challenges to experience with all the rides, and all the new experiences and improvements that are constantly happening.

“There are always answers, always solutions, to every problem, it’s our job to find them! It’s really interesting work.”

Southport Pleasureland is inviting people to apply for a wide range of part-time and full-time jobs, with as many as 170 colleagues working there at any one time.

On the day of the ‘job shop’ on Saturday, interested applicants will undertake a first stage interview and those selected for a second stage will be invited back once again.

The team at Southport Pleasureland make the experience for park goers and enthusiastic, outgoing individuals are encouraged to step forward for this unmissable chance at being part of a fast paced, exciting and growing environment.

Chief Executive Officer, Norman Wallis said;

“We work extremely hard at the park to offer the most friendly all inclusive environment, not only for our visitors but our staff too. We pride ourselves on the fact we have such a diverse working environment, with staff aged from 18 to 72.”

Although previous customer facing based roles are desirable, it’s not a deal breaker thanks to the customer care training provided by the park and numerous local college opportunities.

Mr Wallis said:

“At Southport Pleasureland, we aim to offer the best opportunities and with that comes additional benefits such as college placements and additional training to help boost individuals’ knowledge and skillset.”
