KGV Sixth Form College in Southport

The new 2021/22 college year is now underway, with a record number of students being welcomed to KGV Sixth Form College in Southport this Thursday and Friday.

KGV is reminding young people that there is still time to enrol if you haven’t already done so

The college, on Scarisbrick New Road in Southport, has just enjoyed some exceptional A-Level results and an incredible 99% of the KGV Sixth Form College class of 2021 have been accepted at their first choice university.

KGV Sixth Form College Assistant Principal Stephen Musa said: “We are overjoyed with the record number of enrolments we have had so far this term, but we are still enrolling. So if you have been unsure about what you want to do this year, don’t worry – it is not too late to decide to join us here at KGV Sixth Form College. We have a fantastic guidance team ready to help you find the  right courses and we deliberately continue enrolling new students for a couple of weeks into September, so rest assured that our doors are open.”

KGV Sixth Form College is a popular choice for students from right across Sefton and West Lancs, and offers excellent facilities and highly qualified supportive tutors. There are scholarships for their most high achieving students, free travel passes or free on site student parking and a fabulous extra-curricular offering.  Plus the college has a great bursary provision with free meals for students that need them.

KGV’s new students are all joining a college which has just overcome the challenges of learning during the Covid pandemic to achieve excellent A-Level and BTEC results this Summer. It was made possible through the quality of education on offer, the tremendous support provided by tutors and the determination of students.

Stephen Musa continued: “Students at KGV Sixth Form College in Southport have a wide range of courses to choose from. Many go on to university to study courses such as veterinary science, medicine and law, with students accepted at Oxbridge and many others gaining places at universities in The Russell Group. Our outcomes are excellent.

“This is an inspiring place to study and learn. Our students achieve fantastic results and progress on to great things.

“We have an excellent national reputation for results, regularly achieving pass rates of 100% and have a track record of over 60% of these passes being A*- B.”
