Southport-based UK holiday park operator Harrison Leisure Group has returned to profit amid continued challenges in the UK economy.
Family-owned Harrison, which operates 11 holiday parks across the UK, has posted its accounts for the 12 months to December 31, 2025, on Companies House. They show an 8.6% rise in revenues to £36.7m.
More impressively the business has turned a £153,401 pre-tax loss in 2024 into a £1.9m pre-tax profit in 2025. Dividends for the year totalled £36,000 and net assets rose by £1m to £27.2m.
Harrison’s holiday park portfolio includes Riverside and Brooklyn Holiday Parks in Southport and Abbey Farm in Ormskirk. It has other parks as far afield as Suffolk and Loch Lomond and employs almost 200 people.
Earlier this month, Riverside Holiday Park in Southport was recognised in three separate categories at the prestigious Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards.
Riverside Holiday Park is a Finalist in the Self-Catering Accommodation of the Year Category.
Lily Hibbert, from Riverside Holiday Park, is Shortlisted for Tourism Young Person of the Year, while Gill Tomlinson from Riverside Holiday Park is a contender for the Unsung Hero Award.
In the annual report, director William Harrison said:
“2025 has been a challenging year for our industry showing an economic downturn.
“The directors and leadership team have had to be agile, adaptable and responsive to the industry turning to innovative systems and processes to further the organisation’s future-proofing and efficiencies.
“We expect these challenges to continue and plan to respond by increasing connections inside and outside the business.”

The company operates a variety of different income streams in order to minimise the risk of a downtown affecting the whole company. After the last recession it started to operate a hire fleet.
Harrison Holidays, the main part of the group, was established in the 1970s by George Harrison, who started the business with just one caravan. George’s sons George, William and Robert have followed in his footsteps.
Its parks are located in both coastal and rural locations, offering swimming pools, golf courses and adventure playgrounds. Accommodation includes caravans, lodges, cottages, glamping pods – with hot tubs also available.
