The last few hours remain for the chance to bid for a unique grown up version of a Little Tikes car.
The Little Tikes classic Cozy Coupe toy car has been customised by Kingswood Homes Managing Director Paul Jones in order to raise money for Derian House children’s hospice in Chorley.
The sale closes at 8.13pm this Sunday (14 March) with just a few hours left.
Kingswood Homes, a high quality small residential developer based in Walmer Bridge, between Southport and Preston, builds homes with unrivalled specification in excellent locations.
A Kingswood Homes spokesperson said: “A unique car is going under the auction hammer to raise money for Lancashire children’s hospice Derian House.
“The Smart Car was painstakingly hand-painted by our managing director Paul Jones to replicate the iconic Little Tikes classic Cozy Coupe toy car.
“The car was initially loaned to one of the Kingswood site managers as a bit of fun while his own car was in the garage for repairs.
“Now that his car is back on the road, we have decided to auction the Smart Car with all funds going to Derian House.”
Derian House in Chorley helps children and young people, whose lives are too short, to make happy memories in an environment of fun, respect and above all, high quality care.
A Derian House spokesperson said: “We support families who have received a diagnosis prior to birth and straight afterwards through our Perinatal Service right up until their 26th birthday for respite and end of life support.
“We continue to offer transition support for those young people who are leaving us, up until their 28th birthday ensuring they have a well established network of support in their community. The help we provide isn’t solely for the child and young person, but extends right across the family to brothers, sisters, parents and grandparents.”
The auction on the car runs until Sunday 14 March. Bids on the car can be made on eBay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/133681536085
