Dune Radio

Dune Radio has been selected as the Most Community Focused Commercial Radio Station in the North West of England in the SME News Northern Enterprise Awards 2023.

Dune Radio started out as Sandgrounder Radio back in 2016 and rebranded as Dune in July of this year.

The station covers Southport, Blackpool and The Fylde plus as of September, Central and West Lancashire. The station has a popular and varied on air schedule as well as an engaged social media audience.

Dune Radio’s Content Director, Andy Hilbert said: “Over the last seven years we’ve always strived to offer as much support as possible for community projects from helping to host the Queenscourt Hospice Star Trekk and Santa Sprint each year to arranging donations for Alder Hey Children’s Charity through our annual Easter Egg appeal in at Southport’s Ocean Plaza Leisure. It’s an absolute pleasure to be able to help.”

Dune Radio’s Commercial Director, Sammi Rudge said: “We were naturally thrilled to be nominated but to walk away with the award is incredibly exciting. Here at Dune we do have the community very much at the heart of everything we do. That community also includes the small and independent businesses that we are able to help promote. Keeping our overheads low enables us to keep our advertising rates really affordable. The whole team are bursting with pride to have this recognised.”

Dune Radio  can be heard across the North West Coast on DAB+ Digital Radio, as well as on app, smart speakers and via www.duneradio.co.uk
