A printing and embroidery business in Southport has invested in new machinery to further develop its offering to customers.
KC Workwear is a long established local enterprise in the town, having operated for nearly two decades.
The family-run local business operates with four members of staff from its premises on Liverpool Road in Birkdale.
Customers are well served by an expert team of four: Managing Director Clive Lord; Production Manager Zoe Thorpe; Print Technician Lauren Larkin; and Graphic Designer Amy Brooks.
Clive Lord said: “We have been in business for 18 years, and have been based in Birkdale for the past 16 years.
“We mainly create workwear and embroidery but also create a wide range of products that our customers ask us for.
“We have recently invested significantly in new machinery that can produce more items even faster than we could before.
“We have built our reputation mainly through word of mouth and recommendations. We are trying to grow awareness now to let more people know about what we offer.
“We get a lot of repeat business, because our customers know and value the levels of service they can enjoy.

“We have a wide range of clients both here in Southport and across the country.
“Our national clients include major brands such as Vimto; we have created a lot of promotional workwear for them, such as t-shirts and uniforms.
“Another customer has a franchise with a number of KFC, Taco Bell and Starbucks outlets.
“We have done lots of work for Queenscourt Hospice in Southport.
“We create workwear for most of the outlets inside Southport Market, such as Pitamu, Lenny’s, 600 Degrees, Cake Corner and others.
“Southport Market has been a fantastic new attraction, we really enjoy working with the teams there.
“We love creating school leavers’ hoodies for kids too.”

“For example we have had clients who have been organising events, and we have been able to create everything they need from designing their logos and their artwork, to creating t-shirts, canvas bags, banners, posters, baseball caps, flags, pop-up banners, business cards and more.

“We’re a real one-stop shop for people.
“Something we’re doing more often these days is sportswear for schools.
“Many schools are becoming more savvy about the income they can bring in, so more of them are working hard to get their sports teams sponsored by local companies.
“We are printing companies’ logos onto school sports shirts more and more often.
“We are also running a very special offer at the moment – people who order a hoodie from us can get a t-shirt free.
“They need to book quickly though as the offer runs until 25th january 2024.”
KC Workwear offers printing and embroidery on clothing and a host of other products.
Its product range varies from workwear, team kits and sportswear, events clothing and more.
