Queenscourt Hospice in Southport

Queenscourt Hospice in Southport has launched its most ambitious Big Give campaign to date, seeking to raise £65,000 to help keep the hospice warm this winter.

Their dedicated team works around the clock to ensure every patient and their loved ones receive the care and support they need.

At a time when energy bills continue to soar, the hospice’s outdated heating system urgently needs replacing to make sure that every patient is warm and comfortable when it matters most.

Queenscourt Hospice provides exceptional compassionate care every single day of the year, and the new heating system will be more efficient for the hospice’s 24/7 needs. By reducing energy usage and improving Queenscourt’s Carbon Footprint, the new system will be eco-friendly as well as saving the charity money year after year.

The Big Give Christmas Challenge runs for just one week, between the 28th November and 5th December. It is a match-funding campaign, so during this special week all donations made to Queenscourt via The Big Give website will be doubled.

Lucy Smith, Grants & Trust Officer at Queenscourt, said:

“Thanks to our main pledger Keith and The Reed Foundation, our potential match-funding this year is our biggest ever! So, as well as an incredible opportunity it is a mammoth challenge for us. We need our community’s help more than ever before.

“Not only will your donation be doubled, but you will help us to access as much of that match-funding as possible. Anything you can donate personally or raise through your own fundraising, will make an amazing difference to the local people we care for, and will go twice as far during our Big Give week.”
