Demand for Chris McCausland’s appearance at the 2025 Southport Comedy Festival has been so ‘phenomenal’ that organisers have already added an extra date.
There has been huge demand to see the award winning stand up comedian, who is currently wowing viewers with his performances on Strictly Come Dancing on BBC1.

The Matinee Show will be 2pm doors, 3pm show; the Evening Show will be 7pm doors, 8pm show.
Southport Comedy Festival Director Brendan Riley said:
“We are delighted to be able to offer an extra show to enjoy Chris McCausland’s ‘Yonks’ tour at Victoria Park next year.
“Due to phenomenal sales we have added an extra matinee show on Sunday 5th October 2025. “That’s two chances to see Strictly Come Dancing performer, comedian and TV star Chris McCausland up close and personal at next year’s Southport Comedy Festival in association with Halliwell Jones MINI in our beautiful heated and seated Elite Marquees marquee.
“The response from audiences to our 2024 Southport Comedy Festival, which only finished a few weeks ago, was superb.
“It was a record event, with over 6,000 festival goers and six sold out shows enjoying the very best of stand up comedy from not just the UK but around the world.
“We have already announced Chris McCausland and Ardol O Hanlon for next year’s festival, with more big names to be announced soon.

The 14th annual Southport Comedy Festival will take place from 3rd to 19th October 2025. The entire festival will be staged for a fifth year in a giant luxury heated and seated marquee courtesy of Elite Marquees in Victoria Park, home of the world-renowned Southport Flower Show.
