NHS heroes from Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust were recognised for their brilliance at the 2022 Nursing Times Awards.
The glittering event took place at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane in London last night (Wednesday 26th October 2022).
Southport and Ormskirk nursing teams were nominated for three prestigious awards as they gathered alongside the very best NHS colleagues from around the UK.

They were shortlisted for:
- Emergency and Critical Care – The personal touch in end-of-life care in critical care
- Cancer Nursing – Spine mnemonic in the management of metastatic spinal cord compression
- Managing Long Term Conditions – Acute admiral nurse service
A Nursing Times Awards spokesperson said: “The awards brought together the nursing community to shine a light on the brightest talent in the profession and recognise those making nursing innovative, patient-focused and inclusive.
