A wedding dress boutique in Southport will feature on BBC news tomorrow, to talk about how new Covid-19 restrictions are affecting local businesses.
This Is Me Bridal, situated on Coronation Walk in the town centre, will feature on the BBC News Channel at 2.10pm this Thursday (14 October).
Managing Director Sarah Alexander will ask for more clarity on new Tier Three rules which came into force in Southport across the Liverpool City Region today.
The new measures, which follow a recent rise in Coronavirus cases in the area, add to existing restrictions which means a ban on wedding receptions, with no more than 15 people at weddings.
People must also stick to just one household or bubble in most locations, indoors and outdoors, with the Rule of 6 applying in some outdoor settings such as parks, public gardens, beaches and sports courts.
Madison Dunn, who works at This Is Me Bridal said: “We are going live on BBC news (Channel 231) this Thursday lunchtime to discuss how the new rules from this week are affecting the company.

“Right now we don’t know if we are supposed to be open because we have brides bring their mum and bridesmaid etc, which are classed as separate households.
“However, Sefton Council has told us that if we close we do not qualify for any help either!
“We really need some clarity on what we can and can’t do as a business within the wedding and retail sectors, specifically on households mixing indoors and what that means for us.”
The business opened last year, hoping for a busy wedding season this year, only to be hit hard by the Coronavirus pandemic.
Madison said: “This Is Me Bridal has been open since November 2019, however we have been in the industry for 14 years. I’m an employee and the MD of the company is Sarah Alexander
