Friends of High Park Green Spaces – love your park days
Lend a Hand: Planter Maintenance Volunteer Day with the Friends of High Park Green Spaces
Help refresh community planters by weeding, re-lining, adding mulch/manure, and replacing rotten wood. No experience needed—just enthusiasm! Gloves and drinks recommended.

Buddy Up Club Volunteer – Southport
A fantastic opportunity for volunteers to support social clubs for young people aged 18+ with mild to moderate special educational needs. Volunteers will assist during club sessions and day-out activities, helping to ensure the safety and well-being of participants.
Volunteers will also engage with the young people through games, sports, and friendly conversation, creating a fun and inclusive environment. This is a great way to gain experience for working in special educational needs.
Woodland Volunteer Woodland and Ainsdale Community Centre
Woodvale and Ainsdale Community Association manages the Woodvale Woodlands and welcomes volunteers to help maintain this valued community space. Year-round daytime opportunities include:
- Laying wood chips on pathways to keep the woodlands accessible
- Planting bulbs and maintaining the community orchard
- Tree maintenance and general grounds upkeep
- Litter picking

Level 2 Football coach needed to train people with intellectual disabilities
A Level 2 qualified football coach is needed to support indoor football sessions for people with intellectual disabilities at Southport College Sports Hall on Mornington Road. This rewarding role involves helping participants develop football skills in a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment. It’s a fantastic opportunity to use your coaching experience to boost confidence, promote teamwork, and make a real difference through inclusive sport.
