A brand new chop for cake lovers has opened in Southport!
Cake Corner has opened at 5 Crown Buildings in Hillside, opposite the landmark The Crown pub.
It is the first venture by self-taught baker Leanne Prescott, and is already proving to be a huge success with local people.
People can sit in and enjoy a selection of cakes and a hot or cold drink, they can enjoy a takeaway, or they can order cakes for birthdays and special events. People are being encouraged to make any requests early though, with orders already booked up until 21st July!
The Cake Corner welcomed people to its launch on Saturday.
Leanne said: “I have just opened a cake shop in Hillside across from The Crown, it would be great if you can have a look!
“We have a large selection of cakes and bakes available and hot drinks.

“People can sit in or takeaway, we are not taking reservations, it is first come first serve.
“Thank you so much to everyone who came to our launch on Saturday, it honestly means the world! I have been so excited to see the transformation of my new shop.
“Sorry to the people who came after we sold out at our launch!”
Cake Corner is Level 5 Food Hygiene Rated.
