Over 200 local children from DBA School of Dance Ltd in Southport took to the stage at The Oak Theatre at Scarisbrick Hall to present their class work and celebrate a short awards ceremony.
During the day supportive audiences of parents, family and friends enjoyed watching the students perform a variety of technical exercises from the posture and poise of ballet, rhythmical Tap dancing, strong and controlled Acro and a fun upbeat Beatz class.
Students from 4 years – 12 years old performed with confidence and excitement.
The second part of the afternoon there was an awards ceremony where all students were praised for all they have achieved, not only the skills and knowledge they have been developing through their dance sessions but also their confidence, independence and helpfulness towards others. DBA School of Dance strives to create a community of dancers where everyone is welcome and all achievements are celebrated together.
Awards were presented by Principals Miss Rebekah and Miss Jennifer who said “We’re still beaming ear to ear (and probably will be for a long time!), we’re so proud of each and every one of our students, they have worked so hard for today’s class presentation and my goodness it showed! Well done everyone!
We can’t thank all you lovely grownups enough for choosing DBA, all your continued support and patience during the planning of an event like this, it really is appreciated. We’re both so very grateful, Thank you.”

Gazz Said “Fabulous afternoon as usual…
A lot of time & effort goes into putting on your various ‘shows’… most of which happens in the preparation weeks/months beforehand, and as parents we never see. We do however, get to see the ‘best part’ on the big day… all our little people up on stage, clearly having fun – one could even say, literally…
‘living the dream’
Well done Miss R’, Miss J’ & Miss G’ …
Keep doing exactly what you’re doing, because you’re obviously all very good at it…
