Elemental Nature: Keith Grant

Saturday 14 December 2024  –  Saturday 15 March 2025
Free Entry. Monday – Saturday. 10am – 4pm.Keith Grant (b. Liverpool, 1930) is a renowned artist inspired by nature. Fascinated by northern landscapes from a young age, he painted Iceland and Norway’s glaciers and aurora borealis. His travels also took him to tropical and desert regions, including French Guiana, Cameroon, and Israel, capturing rainforests, sand, and rock. Now 95, he resides in Norway, continuing to paint with vigor.

The Atkinson showcases two of his works, celebrating his Southport roots. He studied at Bootle School of Art and debuted as a professional there. This exhibition highlights his 70-year career with paintings and working drawings, marking his first UK gallery show since a 1994 Fitzwilliam Museum retrospective.
