What a fantastic morning at The Brunswick in Southport last Friday!

The smell of cakes and the sound of singing and laughter filled the halls of the home.

It was all thanks to a wonderful coffee morning held in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Dovehaven wants to extend a huge thank you to everyone who attended this special event. Whether you came to support this incredible cause, enjoy the company of friends or family, or just to simply indulge in some delicious treats, your presence made all the difference.

As well as the delicious cakes, the morning was further enlivened by the talented Louis Deval. He sang a selection of classic tunes that got many of us up on our feet and perfectly captured the spirit of the day.

Kelly, Home Manager of The Brunswick said she was overwhelmed by the generosity of the community.

She wished to express her sincere gratitude to everyone who donated cakes, prizes and, of course, the kind donations.

Your contributions helped us raise a fantastic £291 for Macmillan.

This money will go a long way in supporting the invaluable work they do for people living with cancer.

Dovehaven are so proud to have played a small part in giving back, and we couldn’t have done it without each and every one of you.

“Seeing our community come together – residents, families, and friends – all in support of such a vital cause, warmed my heart.

“A special thanks to everyone who baked, donated, and simply came along for a chat.

“Raising £291 for Macmillan is a fantastic achievement.

“Macmillan Cancer Support is a cause close to our hearts at The Brunswick, as many of our residents here are living with cancer.

“Thank you to everyone who came along to support our event.
