Queenscourt Hospice is delighted to welcome Specsavers Southport as an official sponsor for Star Trekk 2025

Queenscourt Hospice is delighted to welcome Specsavers Southport as an official sponsor for Star Trekk 2025, joining other local businesses in supporting the hospice’s flagship fundraising event.

The Specsavers team are no stranger to fundraising for Queenscourt, with Directors Victoria and Catherine previously running the Southport Half Marathon in support of the charity, several staff modelling in a Queenscourt charity fashion show and taking part in Queenscourt’s very first Strictly fundraising event.

Victoria Dunn, Director at Specsavers Opticians Southport, said:

“We saw Star Trekk as a brilliant opportunity to support a great local charity, get some of our team involved, and make a meaningful impact.

“Over 10 of our colleagues will be taking part this year – and some are even bringing their children to make it a fun, family event. You might even spot a dog or two joining us on the night!

“Queenscourt does so much good. We believe almost everyone in our area has known someone who’s needed their care – and has heard how well supported and looked after they were. It’s reassuring to know that, should you ever need them, Queenscourt would be there.

Star Trekk is a chance to support a local charity, bring your friends and family together, and feel like you’re part of something truly special in the community – all while having fun!”

Elisabeth Hartley, Fundraising Manager at Queenscourt Hospice, said:

“We’re incredibly grateful to Specsavers Southport for sponsoring Star Trekk 2025 and for their longstanding support of Queenscourt.

“Their team has been involved in many of our fundraising events over the years, and their support in helping us make a difference in the lives of local people is truly appreciated.

“Their contribution helps to make events like Star Trekk such a success, and we can’t wait to see their team – and their families – walking with us this year.”

Star Trekk is Queenscourt’s much-loved annual 10k night walk through Southport, bringing people together in memory, celebration, and support. The event raises vital funds that help Queenscourt continue to provide compassionate care for patients and families across Southport, Formby, and West Lancashire.
