Victoria Park Bowling Club is the first and only Crown Green Bowling Club in the UK to have two, yes two Level 2 Bowling Coaches.
Nigel Williams and Haydn Preece both passed their assessment day on Sunday 13th September 2026 and became members of a very elite group of Level 2 Bowling Coaches. As I write this article, there are just 20 Level 2 coaches in the country and we have two!
The pair started their journey on the 1st4Sport Level 2 Award in Coaching Bowls qualification back in May 2026 and after many hours of hard work had to be assessed as they each coached two bowlers on various disciplines.
Both Nigel and Haydn would like to thank Victoria Park BC for their help and support and especially the bowlers who helped the pair with the training days and on their assessment day.
Ted said: “We at Victoria Park are so very lucky, not only have we got a very experienced coach in Paul Crummy but to have Nigel and Haydn on the coaching team means free coaching is available to all our members, they just need to ask”.
Great coaching builds confidence, develops skills, creates belonging, and helps people achieve more than they thought possible and to this end Victoria Park coaching team will announce new coaching sessions ready for the new season next year.
