Southport-based pregnancy loss charity, CRADLE has eliminated the waitlist for its CONNECTED online support service after receiving a £10,000 donation from CharityJob.
CRADLE said:
“CharityJob’s funding has enabled CRADLE to deliver its CONNECTED online support service, providing people affected by pregnancy loss with free, accessible mental health and emotional support. From September 2025 to 2026, 278 seats were taken on CONNECTED calls, meaning that over 200 individuals were able to receive vital mental health support when they needed it the most.
“The funding has helped cover the costs of specialist counsellors and clinical supervision, ensuring the service is delivered safely and to a high professional standard. Most importantly having this funding means we were able to increase our support and have now successfully eliminated the need for a waitlist for this service.”
One attendee said:
“It really helped me feel less lonely, at a time when I had no one. It helped me to meet and connect others in my situation. I was able to cry and wipe my tears after attending a session. Prior to this I had no one to wipe my tears, no one understood what I went through, and no one cared. But CRADLE CONNECTED understood and cared.”
Applications open for the 2026 fund
CRADLE’s results in Southport and beyond show how a grant can remove practical barriers to specialist help. CharityJob is now opening its annual fund to new applicants.
CharityJob, the UK’s largest charity job board, is donating £50,000 this year. Five eligible small charities will each receive £10,000.
Applications are open from 14 September until midnight on Friday 25 September 2026.
Over the past 25 years, CharityJob has donated £1,493,830 to 124 charities. The 2026 fund will take its total charitable giving beyond £1.5 million.
Applications for CharityJob’s 2026 Annual Charitable Giving are open from 14th to 25th September 2026.
Charities can apply by following the link at the bottom of CharityJob’s Charitable Giving Page.
Applications will be reviewed after the deadline, and successful charities will be notified in the week beginning Monday 2 November 2026.
Raya Wexler, co-founder of CharityJob and CharityConnect said:
“Donating to small charities is an integral part of our mission.
“We are always keen to support their work by providing them with free access to our professional network, and free tools such as our Applicant Tracking System so they can secure the best people to do their incredible work. We are delighted that our charitable donations are set to exceed £1.5 million, and we look forward to hearing from eligible organisations.”
