A Southport artist who created impressive window art for local businesses during The 154th Open Golf Championship this summer is now working on new designs for Halloween – and Christmas!

Wendy Renilson, better known as ‘Crafty Bird Creates’, painted the famous selfie window at Lucy Lou’s Boutique in Churchtown, where golf fans were able to snap pictures of themselves with the opportunity to win prizes through July and August.

She also painted window art at Simon Ford Jewellery in Churchtown, the Churchtown Chocolate Shop, Farmhouse Kitchen in Ainsdale, and 600 Degrees Pizza in Hillside.

Wendy has just completed her first eye-catching autumn design, at Cropper’s Hair Design at 173 Preston New Road in Southport.

She said: “I create window art, murals, menu boards, ‘A’ boards for outside businesses and seasonal windows –  I am already taking Christmas bookings! I do that kind of thing!

“Last week I finished my first Autumn window at Cropper’s Hair Design. It’s always fun doing their window, I’m grateful to them for having me back.
