Southport Market is transforming itself into a winter wonderland this festive season for those of all ages.

With special visits from Santa Claus and his elves, a mysterious Circus of Illusion and the return of a magical line-up of Christmas film showings, Southport Market is the place to be in December.

Little ones are being invited to bring their Christmas wish lists and meet with the big man himself between 9th and 23rd December  2023.

Elsewhere the Market’s Extravaganza events space will play host to a sleigh full of festive delights including Disco Bingo, a Circus of Illusion, the Frozen experience and the return of the popular festive film cinema.

The cinema will be completely free of charge and runs between Friday December 22nd and Friday January 5th.

The jam-packed festive events calendar compliments what’s already on offer at the hugely popular Southport Market offer, which includes a host of delicious international foods, a feature bar and live music performances.
Cllr Marion Atkinson, Sefton Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration & Skills, said:

“Even Santa himself knows Southport Market is the most festive, fun-filled place to be for all the family this December.

“From illusion to disco bingo and the hugely popular Frozen experience and completely free seasonal screenings, the Market has it all.

“We are ensuring everyone, young and old, is catered for this Christmas. We saw hundreds of families visit us in December last year and the feedback we received then was incredible.

“Our teams, traders and partners have gone all out to make sure a visit to Southport Market leaves everyone with that classic warm festive feeling.”
