After a hugely successful first year in 2022, Ice Skating Southport returns this December!

The magical festive experience is back at Victoria Park from Friday 1st December 2023.

It will be an epicentre of all things Christmas entertainment with ice skating for all the family in a heated Bavarian themed marquee.

Expect German food and beer, themed party nights at the weekend, DJs, singers, loads of seating and tables and much much more.

So even if you don’t want to ice skate, come dine and drink or see one of the many entertainers on stage throughout the month.

Doors open on Friday 1st December but there are varied opening times throughout the month so check their website for official information or to book at: www.IceSkatingSouthport.com

There are currently some early bird discounts available for the opening weekend where prices start from £8 for children (up to 12 years old) and £10 for everyone over 12 including adults. A family of 4 is £30.

Prices change throughout the month depending on peak / off peak times you want to visit, so head to their website for more info.

You must be over 4 years old to skate and accompanied by an adult if under 12.

Organisers ask people to please come dressed appropriately and wrap up well whilst on the ice.

Don’t forget to try one of their loaded hot chocolates or Bratwurst sausages after you’ve skated.

Event co-organiser Mark Pickup from Southport TV said: “This is a joint collaboration between North West Marquee Hire and Southport TV.

“It was great last year to see so many families enjoying the build-up to Christmas on the ice listening to festive music whilst skating.

“The marquee roof is clear so when the sun shone in the daytime it really did add to the experience and then when the dark evenings arrived we turned our full LED light show on and mirror balls and the ice rink turned into a Christmas disco.

“Keep an eye on our socials for our character visits with Elsa from Frozen and The Grinch.

“It’s not all about the ice skating though. We have some great drinks to try including loaded hot chocolates, German beers and mulled wine as well as all the usual bar faves and our Bratwursts (German sausages) and pretzels which were extremely popular last year.

“If it’s your birthday or your kids’ birthday in December and you are looking for something a bit different to do this year, then please get in touch and we will send you our birthday on ice packages.

“We look forward to welcoming you to Ice Skating Southport!”
