Southport Football Club is celebrating Non League Day this Saturday (23rd March 2024) with big discounts of match tickets, money off food and drinks, and big savings on Southport FC merchandise.

There will be live music, face painting, and happy hour ahead of the screening of the England v Brazil friendly international on TV screens at the club.

The Sandgrounders are hoping to continue their recent good run of form when they kick off against Buxton at The Big Help Stadium at 3pm on Saturday.

Originally established in 2010 as a social media experiment, Non League Day has evolved to become an important event in the footballing calendar nationwide.

The initiative aims to provide a platform for fan-led clubs to promote the significance of grassroots football.

This day occurs annually during the March international break, encouraging football fans to support local teams while Premier League football is on hiatus.

A Southport Football Club spokesperson said: “In an effort to encourage as many Southport FC locals to join and participate, we will host a family-friendly event.

“To make this Non League Day even more enticing, we are offering significant discounts on our tickets, with prices slashed by as much as 50%.

“There has never been a better time to bring a mate, with tickets available for as little as £10 both online and at the turnstiles per adult, £5 per junior, and children aged 12 and under attending for free!

“Furthermore, we are introducing a new family ticket priced at £25, suitable for 2 adults and 2 children. This inclusive offer comes with vouchers for two complimentary alcoholic drinks (18+) and two non-alcoholic drinks. Alongside your complimentary drinks, you will also receive a 50% off food voucher, entitling you to a half-price bite at one of our vendors.

“The event will kick off at 1:30pm with entertainment throughout the afternoon, featuring a live band, face painting, and more! All leading up to our match against 14th-place Buxton.

“After the match concludes, the bar will reopen, and we will screen the England vs Brazil match alongside a two hour happy-hour offer from the final whistle of our match against Buxton until the kick-off of the England game. This will be accompanied by a live performance from a local band.

“The club shop will also be running a huge sale, with up to 50% off most of our remaining line from the 23/24 season.

“Come down, bring the family, and support the Port on this Non League Day!”
