Southport FC have unveiled the signing of a new striker.
A Southport FC spokesperson said: “We are delighted to announce the permanent signing of centre forward Will Russ who has made the move from Fleetwood Town.
“Will, who is 6 feet 2 has signed a two and a half year deal at the club and is a very exciting player and a player we are all looking forward to seeing in the Southport shirt.
“Will is a big strong powerful centre forward who started out in The Academy at Leicester City before joining Fleetwood at the age of 19.
“Whilst at Fleetwood he has had loan spells at FC United, South Shields, Marine and more recently with Hyde for whom he scored the fourth goal in their 4-0 win at Lancaster City on Saturday.”
Southport FC are next at Home at The Big Help Stadium against Spennymoor Town on Tuesday 29th January 2024.
