We have been impressed and deeply moved by the number and quality of heart warming nominations for this year’s Grand Pride Of Sefton Awards.
We have nearly 2,000 nominations across a range of 13 categories – if you would like to submit someone for an award please get your nomination in today! You can nominate here: https://bit.ly/3uPCvlM
The awards night in April is going to be an incredibly special occasion, recognising some truly exceptional people who make our community what it is.
The categories are each sponsored by local businesses who give their support to make the awards happen.

The finalists will be selected through a judging panel, on the strength of each nomination – it’s about the quality of a submission and not the number of submissions sent.
A huge thank you to everyone who has written in.
The huge number and quality of nominations shows the incredible strength, empathy and kindness of so many people and organisations across Bootle, Southport, Crosby, Maghull, Formby and elsewhere in our borough across a range of categories – charity, courage, school, sport, courage, arts, community impact and more.
A judging panel will meet soon to look at the applications and the finalists will be contacted directly over the coming weeks.
The 2025 Grand Pride Of Sefton Awards will take place at The Grand on Lord Street in Southport on 25th April 2025, honouring the very best in our local community.
Money will be raised on the night for the Southport Strong Together Appeal and the ICU Steps charity.
The awards will be presented by Claire Simmo, with an unforgettable night of entertainment planned in one of the North West’s most stunning venues.

Photography will once again be done by Kevin Brown Photography.
The awards are organised by Mikhail Hotel & Leisure Group and Stand Up For Southport with media partners In Demand Radio.
Mikhail Hotel and Leisure Chairman Andrew Mikhail said:
“We have been overwhelmed by entries since we launched the Grand Pride Of Sefton Awards in September last year.
“This is an event we all look forward to every year and the response we have had already has been incredible.

“We really do have some truly special people here in Sefton who deserve to be celebrated.
“We would like to thank all our sponsors this year, without whom this event would not be possible.”
The full list of winners along with pictures and video from the event will be published on the Pride Of Sefton Awards social media pages along with the Stand Up For Southport website and social media pages following the event.
