Southport College is inviting people to sign up for its adult learning courses  – many of which cost just a few pounds with some free.

A college spokesperson said: “As Covid restrictions start to relax a little all around the town, we are delighted to be able to welcome adult learners back into college too.

“To coincide with this, we have launched a brand new programme of part time courses, many of which are just £10 and some which are completely free of charge.

“Southport College is a Covid safe environment and all our classes are taught on site with the necessary safety restrictions in place, so it’s a great opportunity to retrain, improve your skills or just to learn something new for fun, as well as to meet new people and have real life conversations again!

“There’s a plethora of courses to choose from, with some starting this week and others from early May.  You could get ready for travel to open again with Beginners Italian or learn how to transform your home with An Introduction to Wallpapering.

“There’s Level 2 Counselling Concepts for those interested in supporting others,  An Introduction to Education for potential teachers or teaching assistants and fantastic New Career Explorer Courses, ideal for anyone wondering what path to take next, plus many others.

“Visit the college website at www.southport.ac.uk or call 01704 392704 to find out more and book your place.

“Having had so much uncertainty in our lives this past year, now could be the perfect time to get on course!”
