People are being asked to nominate ‘Your Southport Stars’!
Southport Business Improvement District (Southport BID) wants to highlight those individuals or businesses who have overcome adversity to really make a difference during the past two years of the Covid-19 pandemic.
What better way to recognise them by nominating for Your Southport Stars?
Southport BID would love to hear your stories about individuals or businesses in the Southport town centre who have:
- Supported our community
- Re-opened safely and securely
- Re-invented what they offer
- Offered personal support
- Organised drop-offs and deliveries
- Provided employment and supported staff
Nominating couldn’t be easier, with a form on the Southport BID website here. Alternatively, people can email nominations to info@southportbid.com.
Southport BID CEO Rachel Fitzgerald said: “Southport BID is asking residents to nominate individuals and businesses from Southport who have gone the extra mile during the Covid-19 pandemic.
“In some of the most difficult trading conditions our town centre has ever seen, Southport businesses have shown amazing creativity, resilience, and community spirit throughout.
“We are now asking you to nominate businesses who, for example, chose to give back to the local community; re-opened safely and securely; or showed dedication to loyal customers and staff.

“We are looking forward to seeing your nominations, and to recognising those locally who have done so much to make a difference in Southport during such difficult times.”
The winners will be announced at the Southport BID Levy Payers Social Event on Tuesday, 5th April at Bliss Hotel in Southport. BID levy payers can register for the event here.
Nominations must be for businesses within the Southport BID area (see here).
The upcoming Your Southport campaign, which Your Southport Stars is part of, will tell the story of the Southport town centre through the individuals and businesses that make it great.
