Silcock Leisure Group is delighted to sponsor the Southport Santa Sprint for Queenscourt Hospice – for the 14th year in a row.
The local family firm, which employs over 70 local people, is donating a further £1,000 to the charity, which cares for patients and their families across Southport, Formby and West Lancashire.
The 2023 Southport Santa Sprint will see the town turn red on Sunday, 3rd December 2023, with people invited to turn up and take part via the Queenscourt Hospice website.
Runners start and end the event and end at Silcock’s Funland before making Southport’s coastline become a sea of Santas.
The Santa Sprint has raised over £115,000 for Queenscourt Hospice since its inception and is a full family affair – even your pet dog can take part!
Once again there will be both a 3k and a 5k route for you to walk, jog or run.
The scenic route, which starts and ends at Silcock’s Funland, is also suitable for wheelchairs, mobility scooters, pushchairs and buggies.
Each participant will be given a Santa suit to wear and you will also be awarded a medal.
There will be a complimentary hot drink for each participant courtesy of Silcock Leisure Group.
Running Santas will also be able to enjoy a free ride on Silcock’s Carousel!
Silcock’s will also once again be providing discounted bacon or sausage barms to participants and volunteers at just £1 each.
Registration is now open and costs £20 for adults, £19 for under 16s or £50 for a family of two adults and two children.
Your Santa Sprint registration covers the cost of the event and your Santa suit.
This is a sponsored event and participants are invited to generate a minimum sponsorship of £30 for adults, and £15 for under 16s.
